About The Daylighting Lab

We are a research-driven group, based in the Architecture Department at the American University in Cairo (AUC), specializing in daylighting and energy efficiency in architecture. Our mission is to bridge the gap between advanced performance simulations and practical, accessible tools for designers, students, and consultants.

We develop tools, conduct environmental analysis, and contribute to sustainable design education through workshops, research, and open-source initiatives.
