This page describes how the BetterBricks.com and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (Alliance) manages personal information about: visitors to this website; those who sign up to receive BetterBricks communication materials; and those who contact us by mail, phone or email. Neither BetterBricks nor the Alliance sell or rent their mailing lists, but on very rare occasions share them with organizations working towards similar goals.

If you visit our Website to browse, read, or download information, we automatically collect and store the:

  • date and time you access our sites;
  • and the Internet address of the site from which you linked directly to our sites.

If you voluntarily provide us with personal information as part of an online survey, we will use it to perform various quantitative and qualitative analyses to improve our services. We may forward the information to contracted personnel who will analyze the collected data. You are under no obligation to participate in such surveys. Non-participation will not inhibit your use of our website in any way.

The Alliance has a strict no-spam policy. Email addresses of those who send spam through our website are automatically linked to the sender’s numerical Internet Protocal address. We then use this information to take appropriate action against the sender. "Spam" generally refers to unwanted advertising emails.

Our website contains links to other agencies and organizations. Once you access another site or contact another organization, you are subject to the privacy policy of that organization.

We will attempt to provide this notice by email, if you have given us an email address, or by postal mail if you have entered a postal address. We will independently object to overly broad requests for access to information about users of our site. If you do not challenge the disclosure request, we may be legally required to turn over your information.
